Becky: Welcome to 3-Minute Swedish Season 1, Lesson 10 - Asking How Much Something Costs. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to ask how much something costs in Swedish.

Becky: Here's the way to ask 'How much does this cost?' in Swedish.
Carl: [Normal] Vad kostar den?
Becky: First is a word meaning 'what'
Carl: [Normal] vad [Slow] vad
Becky: Next is the word meaning 'cost'
Carl: [Normal] kostar [Slow] kostar
Becky: Last is the word meaning 'it'
Carl: [Normal] den [Slow] den
Becky: Note the rising intonation. Listen again to the question meaning 'How much does this cost?'
Carl: [Slow] Vad kostar den? [Normal] Vad kostar den?
Becky: Now, imagine you're speaking to a stranger. Here's the way to ask, 'How much does it cost?'
Carl: [Normal] Hur mycket kostar den?
Becky: First is a word meaning 'how'
Carl: [Normal] hur [Slow] hur
Becky: Next is the word meaning 'much'
Carl: [Normal] mycket [Slow] mycket
Becky: Next is the word meaning 'costs'

"Dyr" är betyder "djur" på norska:open_mouth:

( "dyr" is mean "animal" in Norwegian? )
