Cultural Insight
Becky: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight.
Carl: Swedish people are generally pretty good at English. If you are in a big city, you should have no trouble communicating by only English. Even in the countryside, most people understand basic phrases. Be aware however that food menus, transport etc are almost never in English. So if you can't work out that biff is Swedish for “beef,” don’t hesitate to ask people to translate.

Becky: And that’s all for this lesson. Don’t forget to check out the lesson notes, and we’ll see you in the next lesson!

Hej Adolf,

Jag trodde vi övade svenska här haha. (I thought we were practicing Swedish here haha.)

Det är bara måndag så det är för tidigt för att säga hur det går. (It's only Monday so it's too early to say how it's going.) :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
