| Peter: ...you’re memorizing a list of phrases or you’re speaking out loud. |
| Becky: So, you’re fully focused on what you’re learning. Nothing else. |
| Peter: Passive learning is different. It requires less concentration. |
| Becky: Yeah, it’s usually done when you’re doing something else... |
| Peter: ...for example, walking somewhere or taking the train. |
| Becky: You could be listening to an audio lesson, watching a video lesson, reading... |
| Peter: Now, the difference is, you’re not focused on picking apart every single word. |
| Becky: You’re just passively taking the language in. |
