Hej Nawe,

Absolutely! I think the southern Swedish dialects, like skånska sound very friendly, however it's very difficult to understand! The Swedish dialects with some Finnish accent or the northern Swedish dialects also sound friendly. Maybe because they're associated with the country side. 😜

The posh dialect is a little more difficult, I can't answer that one, but I'm sure there is a dialect that sounds more posh!

Hej!

Do you think there are certain Swedish dialects that sound (e.g.) 'posh' or more 'friendly/open', or otherwise?

(I understand if you'd rather not say 👍)

Tack!

Hi Kay,

Haha, I understand what you mean. Please remember that skånska is the most difficult dialect in Sweden, and it is also the one that Swedish people have a lot of difficulty understanding! I speak Stockholmska, which is the standard Swedish so your boyfriend would understand me easily, but I would probably say "va?" (what?) a lot if I talked to him. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Ja, jag pratar centrala thailändska. Det är också kallas standardthailändska, så jag kan förstå andra thailändska dialekter mycket mindre än andra thailändska dialekt högtalare kan förstå mig.

Min kille pratar skånska, som han är från Malmö, vilket ger mig en lite huvudvärk!

for example, here you teach us to pronounce å as "o-ah," but he pronounces it like "ay-o"

and I said "ta en dusch" to him and the way he pronounced "dusch" YIKES...

can't even recognise it!

Hej Adolf,

Är det stor skillnad på dialekterna i ditt land? (Is there a big difference between the dialects in your country?)
