Can you tell us all the different ways you can use in Swedish to ask for something's price?

Hej Danny,

Thank you for the question! "den" refers to common nouns and "det" to neuter nouns. You would ask "Hur mycket kostar det?" when referring to a neuter noun and "Hur mycket kostar den?" for common nouns. 😇

Jag kan säga 'vad kostar den?' istället för 'vad kostar det?'?

Tack :)

Hej Uday,

The Swedish word "bli" means "become", it can sometimes also be translated as "get".

Bli is used in a few different ways.

First of all it can be used to show that something is becoming more or less of something. For example:

Jag blir så trött efter en dag på jobbet. (I get so tired after a day at work.)

Bli is also used to show when someone is taking on a new challenge or job. For example:

Jag vill bli en läkare när jag blir stor. (I want to become a doctor when I grow up.)

There are also other exceptions for how bli is used. These are a bit harder to explain. But one example is:

Företaget blev grundat år 2000. (The company was founded in 2000).

I hope this helps. ?

I want to know the meaning and usage of blir, also if any exceptions and variants in using.

ex: Vad blir det?

Hej Kvinna Skratta!

Great job!

Don't forget the "r" in "kostar" and also it should be "lax" instead of "lox".

If you order several things such as " en smörgås, en ramlösa och en sallad" then it is absolutely correct to use the phrase "Vad blir det?".

Keep ut the good work!

Jag bara undrar, hur mycket ar det? en smorgas med flytande, Ramlosa och sallad eller soppa...

vad blir det? (what does this sum up to?)

I'm just wondering, how much is this? an open sandwich with lox,

Ramlösa eller mineralvatten med citron skiva

(a mineral water with slice of lemon)

and salad or soup?

What's the total cost?

ar det allt? is this everything included?

Ursakta mig.

Jag skulle vilja köpa något, tack. I'd like to buy something, please?

Vad kostar det? How much is it?

Hur mycket kostar det ha(umlaut)r? How much does it cost?

Vad blir det ?

Hur mycket ar det Smorgas, Ramlösa, flytande och sallad? Tack.

How much is this smorgas (open sandwich?), mineral water (beverage), lox and salad? please.
