Hej Mihail,

Good question!

In Swedish we have "tro" and "tycka". In English they are both translated as "think" but the meaning is a little different.

"tro" expresses a belief in something. For example: Jag tror att det kommer regna ikväll. (I think/believe that it will rain tonight.)

"tycka" on the other hand expresses an opinion. For example: Jag tycker du är söt. (I think you're cute.)

So, the answer to your question is that you could use either "Vad tror du om det här?" or "Vad tycker du om det här?" because in this sentence, they are both expressing a question what the other person thinks or what his or her opinions are about the matter.

The answer could be: "Det blir nog bra. (I'm sure that will be fine.) or "Jag tror att vi måste ändra det där." (I think we have to change that.)

I hope this helps!

Hej, varför använder vi 'Vad tror du om det här stället?' i stället av 'Ad tycker du...'?

Tack!
