Hej Nola!

VERY good question! Even many Swedes don't know the difference of "var" and "vart".

Vart indicates direction and an activity has to be involved. For example "Where are you going?" would be "Vart ska du?". "To where did you move?" = "Vart flyttade du?".

Var indicates location and is used for something static that doesn't move. For example "Where do you live?" would be "Var bor du?". "Where is my sock?" = "Var är min strumpa?".

Many Swedes use "vart" for everything, which is wrong... Actually even the writer of this lesson has got it wrong sometimes, I saw now  So sorry about that.

Tack så mycket!

"Vart jobbar du? " or "Var jobbar du?"

"Vart bor du?" or "Var bor du?"

When should use "Var", and when should use "Vart"?

Thanks!
