My first exposure to Swedish phrases was during a music project where remixed a song called Karleksvian.
I found it so emotional and beautiful even though I had no idea what was being sung. I decided to have it translated as an existing English version seemed all wrong, like a totally different theme.
A Swedish friend working with me on the project told my instincts were correct and sat with me and gave me a line by line translation.
After that, I not only fell more in love with the song but with the Swedish language itself.
IIfound it so emotional and beautiful even though I had no idea what was being sung. I decided to have it translated as an existing English version seemed all wrong, like a totally different theme.
Those are two very important phrases! Thank you for sharing! 😇
“Grattis på födelsedagen”
And ”Jag älskar dig”

Tack bara bra
Bra historia! Det är roligt hur man kan lära sig så konstiga ord på ett språk. Trots att jag lärt mig en del konstiga ord på olika språk, så har jag haft användning av dem vid något tillfälle, även om jag fick vänta ganska länge!
(Good story!) It's funny how you can learn strange words in a language. Even though I've learned a few pretty strange words in different languages, I've used them all at some point, even if I had to wait quite a while!) 😜
